- Low-Frequency Sound Monitoring Study Begins

Sunday, October 11th 2009Dr. Kris Walker, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, is leading a team of researchers to deploy several microphone arrays at Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve, co-locating them with existing broadband seismometers. Dr. Walker and his research team are interested in atmospheric sound propagation and the conversion of energy from seismic to acoustic (and vice versa).
- Tours at SMER
- Tours of the Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve are open to the public. These informative tours are led by Dr. Matt Rahn, the Field Stations Program Director. The tours are held every first and third Friday of the month. Space is limited, so please make a reservation now.
