Real-time Environmental Monitoring and Observation Technology

REMOT is a network of environmental sensors, data collection middleware, wired and wireless communication networks, and web-applications providing the scientific and educational communities real-time access to environmental data collected across Southern California.

The field sites and the communications infrastructure that comprise REMOT comprise an active testbed for advancing environmental monitoring technology. REMOT website documents and evaluates the latest sensor and communications technology used to collect environmental data, and shares the information with the greater scientific community.
